A hotel with a poetry theme
Presentation
Practical information
Writing also inspires Parisian hospitality.
What do the Murano, Le Five, Le One, iconic figures of contemporary hospitality in Paris, and the Apostrophe Hotel have in common?
All of them were born from the collaboration between architect Vincent Bastié and Sandrine Alouf, an interior decorator and self-proclaimed atmospherist.
Here, poetry invites itself even before crossing the threshold. On this peaceful street just steps away from the Closerie des Lilas, a stylized tree projects its trompe-l'œil shadow on the façade, as a prelude to imagination. From the reception to the floors, the walls come alive with letters, punctuation, and graphic fragments that accompany travelers on a sensitive and multifaceted narrative.
The major milestones of writing unfold subtly across the hotel's five levels. Each of the sixteen rooms explores a unique universe: amorous alphabet, typography, printing, newspapers, musical scores... So many poetic variations conceived as stopovers in the history of words. The visual nods interact with the volumes, allowing one to be carried away by the décor, sometimes dreamlike, sometimes narrative.
Some rooms push sensory immersion further: whirlpool bathtubs, chromotherapy, thematic ceilings... A ladder climbs toward the sky, a stormy sky suspends its motion, a glass roof lets in a soft light. These discreet stagings give intimacy an added soul.
The experience extends even to the small details of daily life. Breakfast can be served in the room, at no extra charge, until noon. Wi-Fi is seamless, comfort consistent, and service attentive. Each room features a Chromecast, a memory foam bed, adjustable air conditioning, and appreciated soundproofing.
At the crossroads of Montparnasse and the Luxembourg Gardens, the Apostrophe Hotel draws a clear line between inspiration and comfort, inner journey and urban discovery. A discreet, literary, and very contemporary address.
