Unusual accommodation in Amsterdam
Presentation
Practical information
Fashion and glamour in the heart of Amsterdam.
Fashion! Hotel rooms dressed as if they were models. These 61 rooms, ranging from 1 to 5 stars, each have their own style. This innovative idea of bringing fashion and architecture together comes from Suzanne Oxenaar and Otto Nan, who were also involved in the project of the Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy.
They entrusted the design of the decorations to young artists, all former students of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, in collaboration with the Textile Museum in Tilburg, which created specific fabrics to meet the needs of this project. The result is unique and fun, like this room where you lift a giant crinoline to stay under Marie-Antoinette's skirts.
The Exchange Hotel opened in 2011 on one of Amsterdam's main arteries. The Damrak, which connects Dam Square to the Central Station, is one of the city's busiest avenues. In 2018, the Hotel The Exchange unveiled a new collection of 6 rooms, designed by the Dutch fashion label MAISON the FAUX.
The rooms are grouped according to their size, view, and location within the hotel. The room that will be assigned to you — within the reserved category — will remain a surprise until your arrival!
