Floating Lodges and Spa: unusual and refined on a private lake in Anglet
This residence, acquired in the 1930s by a somewhat whimsical Scottish Lord, Sir Reginald Wright, joined the Bordeaux hotel group Millésime in 2020 and regained its festive atmosphere.
Marie-Christine Mecoen, Basque by origin and Artistic Director of the group, was inspired by the poetry and legends of this landscape where water converses with trees. She invites you aboard an electric boat resembling a Riva to gently glide across the Brindos lake to reach the floating lodges.
This first journey opens a parenthesis, that of a stay suspended between sky and water's reflection, just minutes away from Biarritz, yet already a world apart.
Upon your arrival, the golden wood of the terrace mirrors the changing reflections of the lake. The gentle ripples under the platform remind you that you are truly floating, anchored but mobile, away from the shore and its bustle. The floating lodges of the Château de Brindos welcome you into a cozy haven, designed as a suite on the water.
Every space, from the bedrooms to the lounge areas, has been designed to offer comfort and breathing space, never disrupting the delicate balance between indoors and nature.
Light flows through the curtains, caressing natural materials, reflecting off mirrors and furniture to create a sense of enveloping warmth.
