Dominique and Jean-Louis once again demonstrate their talent and passion for the mountains! After introducing the snow pods of Gourette, they now welcome their guests at La Pierre Saint-Martin, at an altitude of 1800 meters, surrounded by pine trees and pristine ridges—the beauty of the place is breathtaking!
Atipic Lodge awaits you for a night at the summit in a wooden cocoon warmed by a stove. The mountain in its pure, intimate, and resolutely wild form, as all mountain enthusiasts love it.
Arriving by ski or skidoo sets the tone. You leave the La Pierre Saint-Martin resort behind and ascend to the Pescamou plateau. The landscape becomes rougher, quieter. Facing Europe’s largest karstic field, your lodge with its clean lines awaits you: entirely handcrafted with local materials.
Behind the bay window, the peaks unfold their whiteness. Inside, everything is designed for slowing down. A cozy bed facing the mountain, a wood stove, a few well-chosen objects, a muted ambiance. You settle in, a glass of champagne in hand. No Wi-Fi, no screens here. Just soft lighting, a blanket, a book, and the sound of the wind against the walls.
As an option, a snowshoe walk at dusk extends the escape. But the highlight of the stay is the Nordic bath. Immersed in 36° water, you watch the snow fall while the wood crackles. A few meters away, your lodge awaits, still warm, still scented with heated wood.
In the morning, waking up is gentle. Coffee, fresh bread, homemade jams, toast in bed. Then, with skis on your feet, you return to the resort, wrapped in this white interlude.
Atipic Lodge is unpretentious luxury. A night to remember, a winter haven for two, and a breath of fresh air to disconnect without leaving France.

Pricing details
Rates 2026, from €398 for two peopleIncluded in the package:
- Equipment provided: snowshoes, ski poles, and headlamp will be supplied, as well as bath towels, soap, shampoo
- Snowmobile ascent or snowshoe ascent (depending on conditions) and return from 10am by snowshoeing independently
– Dinner and breakfast in your accommodation
Dinner menu, foie gras or sliced dried duck breast, royal garbure with duck drumsticks, local pure sheep cheese, pastry from here (lemon poppy seed cake and hazelnut cake), champagne and red wine.

✦ Spoutnik 1 and 2 (located slightly higher up on the mountain)
Chemical toilets in all accommodations, showers in the two Black Rock and the possibility to shower in the cabin for guests of the two Spoutnik.
Optional
✦ Nordic bath session, water at 36°C heated with a wood stove in the middle of nature, €20 for 2 people
✦ Easy snowshoe walk to explore the ridges just above your accommodation and discover who your neighbors will be during this night at the summit (1h), €20 for 2 people
Meeting point in appropriate clothing, ready to go, at 5:00 PM sharp at the upper level of the Pierre Saint-Martin tourist office: warm and protective clothing (snow boots, ski pants and jacket, gloves, hat, ski mask or goggles) and a small backpack.
