The Orres resort is known for its pure azure blue sky, the magical slopes of its ski area nestled between larch forests and breathtaking views down to the Serre-Ponçon lake, and its Bike Park in summer. With Alpin D'Hôme, an alternative and luxurious accommodation designed after the model of the Whitepod, it is a French first opening under the blue sky of this lovely resort in the southern Hautes-Alpes.

Accommodations between an unusual igloo and a luxury chalet, these domes (D'Hômes) offer a nature experience with all comforts on the heights of Bois Méan at 1800 m altitude. These first nine geodesic domes (four more will follow) are erected on the mountainside on a wooden platform extending into a terrace, promising great intimacy and an impressive 160° view. In front of us, the sky, its stars, and the valley.

Composed of a rigid structure, these bubbles house a king-size bed as well as a bathroom with a whirlpool bath in the luxury version and a mezzanine for additional sleeping arrangements in the family version. To complete this glamping experience, breakfasts and snacks will be served in the room, and upon our arrival, high-end ski equipment will be delivered, and the stove lit!

Good to know: for a first visit or to treat oneself, L'Alpin Spa, 300m2 with a panoramic spa, sauna, steam room, Nordic baths, jacuzzi, and à la carte treatments, is open to both residents and non-residents.
