Ethnic Design Hotel in Paris
Presentation
Practical information
Travel to Inca Country, between République and La Bastille.
1K like Inca for this hotel with the appearance of a contemporary South American palace: Peruvian masks, warrior heads, geometric patterns, deep blue, bronze, rust, gilding, brass, raw wood... Architect-designer Raymond Morel (creator of the Murano and Kube Hotel) has designed a dense and hypnotic décor, with this wall terrarium inhabited by three rather placid monitor lizards, Machu, Picchu, and Titicaca, who have become the most photographed residents of the place. First encounter, first shock.
On the site of the former Streets by Murano, the 1K invites you to follow in the footsteps of the People of the Sun, in a resolutely immersive atmosphere just steps from Place des Vosges. Behind its discreet façade, 48 rooms and suites, all connected and comfortably equipped, await you. Some open onto a quiet interior courtyard, others unfold in duplexes, and two very special suites each house a private heated pool perched on the rooftops. Yes, a pool, in Paris.
The rooms feature a minimalist style with subtle Andean references, natural materials, adjustable lighting to match your mood, Italian showers, or bathtubs placed directly on the floor, all complemented by comprehensive technological amenities. Fast Wi-Fi, connected screens, speakers, coffee machine, generous bedding... nothing is left to chance.
At the INKA restaurant, Peru's superfoods meet Nikkei inspirations. Ceviches, tiraditos, anticuchos, and grilled fish are served in a decor dominated by royal blue, suspended plants, and undulating metal chains. The atmosphere oscillates between reinvented folklore and urban refinement. The cocktails, on their part, know how to make themselves heard.
Another world awaits you a bit further, well hidden behind the kitchens: the Mezcaleria. This speakeasy with a Latin R’n’B vibe has established itself as a landmark of the Parisian cocktail scene. Barrels serve as low tables, sacred crosses, candles, skulls, Mexican benches, and shelves filled with mysterious bottles. Here, mezcal is king. And the creations are custom-made.
A few steps away, the taquería El Vecino offers a tasty and uninhibited version of Mexican street food: handmade tacos, homemade guacamole, bold flavors, continuous service, sunny terrace... An address within an address.
For those who want to work up a sweat between two pisco sours, a state-of-the-art gym equipped by Technogym is accessible 24/7. Treatments and massages are also available upon request, for couples or solo, sometimes accompanied by a Peruvian espresso or a small shot of exotic fruits.
One thing is certain: you don’t just stay at 1K Paris by chance. You land there. You travel there.
