On the Loire, the "toue cabanée" was used for fishing and transporting goods over a hundred years ago. Often, they were used only once because after their cargo was sold, they were dismantled, and their wood was used for construction.
For you, La Ferme de la Corbière launched a "toue cabanée" in 2012 to spend the night in the heart of the natural site called the Grande Cariçaie.
Modeled after the barges of the Loire, this small cabin set on a hull houses a bedroom with a double bed, a refrigerator, dry toilets, and a handwashing sink.
It's perfect for admiring the lake throughout the day, with an unobstructed view of nature. Breakfast will even be brought to you on the boat—isn't life beautiful?
